Why I chose Net Spinster
My cognomen of net spinster has several origins; the major one
probably being a discussion on rec.arts.books that came to the
conclusion, tongue in cheek, that only spinsters had enough time to
read lots of books. At that point large numbers of people, married and
unmarried, male and female, declared themselves spinsters. Another
origin is that I'm webmaster (in charge of mechanics) of this site and the webs are spun.
The spider has always been associated with the online web hence the
reason it appears on my home page.
