Registrants to ICML, COLT, and UAI may attend, without additional costs, the technical sessions of the other two conferences. You should not register for more than one of the conferences or you will be charged multiple times.
The early registration fee (payment received on or before June 1, 2000) is $175.
The late registration fee (payment received after June 1, 2000) is $250.
Your registration fee covers attendance at the conference(s), a copy of the ICML proceedings, and the receptions on June 29, 30, and July 1. You can order additional copies of the ICML proceedings, as well as copies of COLT and UAI proceedings, on the registration form.
YOU MUST REGISTER ON-LINE AT http://www-csli.stanford.edu/icml2k/register.html, regardless of your method of payment. We prefer you to pay on-line by credit card, but you can write a check in US dollars (drawn on a US bank) payable to Stanford University and send it, along with a hard copy of your registration form, to:

ICML cannot accept checks from banks outside of the United States, but we can process US traveler's checks and international money orders. Money orders should be in US dollars, through a US bank, and made payable to Stanford University.
Note: We must receive all refund requests in writing by June 10, 2000. We will not grant refunds after this date.
Please pick up your complete registration packet from the ICML registration area on the first day of the conference (June 29, 2000). The location will be announced at a later date and posted on the ICML-2000 web site.
Special Services: Participants needing special arrangements to accommodate a disability or wheelchair access may request assistance by filling out the appropriate fields in the on-line registration form. Such requests should be made by June 1, 2000.
On-Campus Housing
Dormitory rooms for ICML-2000 are available in Governor's Corner on Stanford Campus (see
campus map). Bathrooms are shared and located down the hall from the rooms. On-campus housing includes full dining service. This covers breakfasts and lunches on June 29, 30, and July 1, and breakfast on July 2. The total, for four nights (including dining service), is $291 for single rooms and $242 for shared (double) rooms. Additional nights, for people staying until July 3, are $104 for single rooms and $91 for shared rooms, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.Registration for on-campus housing is included on the on-line registration form. We must receive payment by June 2, 2000, as we must finalize on-campus housing assignments by that date.
Check in will be at the Governor's Corner residence office
(see map) from 3pm to 10pm on June 27 or 28 (depending which package you choose). A key deposit of $70 (credit card, US check, or cash) is required at check-in time. Check out time is 12:00 noon on the departure date.Please note: Stanford University does not allow smoking in the dormitory rooms or in any building on campus, nor does it permit alcohol in the residence halls. For security reason, please keep your door and windows locked when not in the room.
Hotels
For your convenience, ICML has reserved a block of rooms at the hotel given below. If you want to reserve a room, please contact the hotel directly and identify yourself as an ICML-2000 attendee to qualify for the reduced rate. The rate below does not include taxes.
The Stanford University visitor's web page includes information about additional nearby hotels. When making reservations, mention you will be attending a conference and ask for the Stanford rate.
Parking will be available on the Stanford Campus from June 27 to July 3, for a total of $14.00. The on-line registration form includes an entry to request a parking permit. If you are staying on campus, you will receive your permit, along with a map and directions to the assigned parking areas, when you check in at the Governor's Corner residence office. Otherwise, the permit and the map will be included in your registration packet.
Stanford University is close to both San Francisco (SFO) and San Jose (SJC) airports (approx. 30-min drive from either one). Bay Area, Palo Alto, and Stanford Campus maps are available at

The following directions are to Campus Drive, the main road on Stanford campus. You can locate specific buildings, including the on-campus housing at
Governor's Corner, on the searchable map of the University.Take either US 101 or Interstate 280, going South from San Francisco or North from San Jose. From 101 take the Embarcadero Road exit west toward Stanford. At El Camino Real, Embarcadero turns into Galvez Road as it enters the University. If you are going to Governor's Corner, turn right onto Campus Drive, and follow Campus Drive to Santa Teresa Street. From Interstate 280, take the Alpine Road exit east and make a right onto Junipero Serra Blvd. Turn left at the next traffic light onto Campus Drive. If you are going to Governor's Corner, take the first right onto Santa Teresa Street.
