Information about the 1997 Cognitive Science Conference

Here is some basic information about the Nineteenth Annual Conference of the Cognitive Science Society:

  • The conference will start at 9:00 AM, Thursday, August 7, and end at 5:30 PM, Sunday, August 10.

  • The early registration fee for members of the Cogntive Science Society will be $100.

  • The early registration fee for people who are not members of the Society will be $155.

  • Registration forms sent after July 1, 1997, will be $30 more than those sent by this date.

  • We encourage electronic registration through the Web, but we will also accept hardcopy forms (either postscript or ascii).

  • On-campus housing will be available for $42 per night (single) and $31 per night (shared).

  • We strongly encourage people to stay on campus, since hotel space is very scarce in Stanford area.

    There will be three parallel sessions for talks, as specified in the online schedule. Poster presentations will be spread across three evenings, coupled with receptions.
